A Very Merry Mahchris!!

We worked very hard to get Audrey excited about Christmas, but it really didn't take much. She loved the lights, the tree, the decorations (which she kept taking off of the tree), the presents (mostly the wrapping paper and the box). It really was so fun to watch her get excited.

The one thing we could not get her to do was to say "Christmas". We would break it down for her and she could say the word broken up into pieces, but once we tried to get her to put it together, it would always come out "Mahchris". It was hilarious and we figured if you can't beat 'em, join 'em. So we did. We would sing "Have Yourself a Merry Little Mahchris" and other carols like that. It became kind of a habit and I forgot that we needed to say it right so she could figure it out. But we'd try that for a while and then revert back to Mahchris. It was just too cute.

Audrey made out well. Spoiled rotten by her grandparents and Aunt Mindy (you can see a video of her opening presents below). She loved all the attention she would get from her Uncle Blake and cousins Cade and Carter (who loved to carry that 35 pound kid around - crazy!)

She loved Utah and the snow and kept pointing at the mountains and saying "bowntins!". Grams bought her a snow suit (you can see a video below) and her dad took her out sledding which she loved. I was surprised at how adaptable she was to the snow, having been in Florida her whole life, but she loved it.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Mahchris!

Family Pictures

We took some family pictures this year so I thought I would share some of them on the blog. Love to all!

Happy Thanksgiving!

For Thanksgiving we took Audrey up to Amelia Island and we rented a beach house with our friends Eric, Katie, Sam, Robin, and Jeff. It was so much fun relaxing and Audrey and Sam had a blast together going up and down the stairs and watching The Wiggles (which we were all quite sick of by the end of the trip).
Audrey loved the beach and we got some cute pictures of her playing in the sand.

Halloween Time!

For Halloween we took Audrey on her first trick or treating trip! She was very excited to get candy (of course) and she kept running up to every one's doors and saying "treat!" and then trying to walk into their house. It was quite embarrassing, but cute. We spent the day with Audrey's friend Sam and got pictures taken (if I had a scanner, you would be able to see them, but we are not that high-tech). She was a witch - as you can see - and she would actually keep the hat on her head which was a miracle in itself. You'll notice that she is also carrying her dog puppet, which she takes everywhere with her. I'm sure you will be seeing a lot of "doggy" in future pictures. They are inseparable.

I've also attached a picture of Audrey and Sam together. This wasn't on Halloween, but close to the time. I was watching Sam and I let them play out on the porch. They would sit in those plastic chairs and just look at each other like an old couple. It was hilarious.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Halloween!
