Happy Easter!

For Easter we went to Aunt Lori's house for an Easter egg hunt and a big Easter dinner. It was Audrey's first Easter egg hunt and she loved it!

I've posted some pictures of her looking for eggs, and some pictures I took of her at Disney in her Easter dress.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!

Audrey Turns Two!!

Okay, so it's over a month past due - but Audrey officially turned two on March 14th. However, the so-called "terrible twos" hit sometime around late January, so we are in full swing of "no's", tantrums, and just plain not listening. It's been a joy to behold.

We went to her two year appointment and Audrey is one big kid. She's super tall (almost 39 inches!) and weighs around 38 pounds. She is so off the charts, I don't know if she will ever be able to get back on them. You can imagine how fun it is for an 8-month pregnant woman to be draggin' around a 38 pound kid, but somehow I seem to manage.

For her birthday, Audrey's Grandma Monson came out to celebrate from Utah. They had so much fun together and I really enjoyed the rest I got from having someone here to help out! Audrey was, of course, spoiled rotten and loved every minute of it. She is still talking about her birthday and Grandma and presents and balloons. It was all very exciting.

We hope everyone is doing well!

A Very Merry Mahchris!!

We worked very hard to get Audrey excited about Christmas, but it really didn't take much. She loved the lights, the tree, the decorations (which she kept taking off of the tree), the presents (mostly the wrapping paper and the box). It really was so fun to watch her get excited.

The one thing we could not get her to do was to say "Christmas". We would break it down for her and she could say the word broken up into pieces, but once we tried to get her to put it together, it would always come out "Mahchris". It was hilarious and we figured if you can't beat 'em, join 'em. So we did. We would sing "Have Yourself a Merry Little Mahchris" and other carols like that. It became kind of a habit and I forgot that we needed to say it right so she could figure it out. But we'd try that for a while and then revert back to Mahchris. It was just too cute.

Audrey made out well. Spoiled rotten by her grandparents and Aunt Mindy (you can see a video of her opening presents below). She loved all the attention she would get from her Uncle Blake and cousins Cade and Carter (who loved to carry that 35 pound kid around - crazy!)

She loved Utah and the snow and kept pointing at the mountains and saying "bowntins!". Grams bought her a snow suit (you can see a video below) and her dad took her out sledding which she loved. I was surprised at how adaptable she was to the snow, having been in Florida her whole life, but she loved it.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Mahchris!

Family Pictures

We took some family pictures this year so I thought I would share some of them on the blog. Love to all!

Happy Thanksgiving!

For Thanksgiving we took Audrey up to Amelia Island and we rented a beach house with our friends Eric, Katie, Sam, Robin, and Jeff. It was so much fun relaxing and Audrey and Sam had a blast together going up and down the stairs and watching The Wiggles (which we were all quite sick of by the end of the trip).
Audrey loved the beach and we got some cute pictures of her playing in the sand.

Halloween Time!

For Halloween we took Audrey on her first trick or treating trip! She was very excited to get candy (of course) and she kept running up to every one's doors and saying "treat!" and then trying to walk into their house. It was quite embarrassing, but cute. We spent the day with Audrey's friend Sam and got pictures taken (if I had a scanner, you would be able to see them, but we are not that high-tech). She was a witch - as you can see - and she would actually keep the hat on her head which was a miracle in itself. You'll notice that she is also carrying her dog puppet, which she takes everywhere with her. I'm sure you will be seeing a lot of "doggy" in future pictures. They are inseparable.

I've also attached a picture of Audrey and Sam together. This wasn't on Halloween, but close to the time. I was watching Sam and I let them play out on the porch. They would sit in those plastic chairs and just look at each other like an old couple. It was hilarious.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Halloween!

Getting Bigger.. and Bigger...

Audrey just grows and changes everyday. It's so fun to watch. Lately she is into showing off her belly as you can see in the picture. She enjoys flashing her stomach to perfect strangers when we are out shopping as well.

I've attached a couple of pictures of Audrey with her aunts Lori and Jenny. She loves to go visit Lori and John at their house. She especially loves tearing their house apart. This past Tuesday Lori and John babysat Audrey at their house and when we got her home later that night she was jumping all over the house and acting totally crazy. It turns out that Aunt Lori gave her a bunch of sugar while she was watching her... I will have my revenge once they start having kids....

So out of curiosity, because I'm wondering if any of you actually read this blog or if you just look at the pictures - I'm throwing in a little info that you might find interesting... Audrey is going to be a big sister! Yep, I'm pregnant. Due at the end of May. We are excited.

That's all from us for now. We hope that everyone is doing well!
